50 Years of Music w/ 50 Year Old White Guys Podcast: Congrats on Season 3

ElectraCast is thrilled to congratulate Jeff, Tim and Ben on the premiere of the third season of their musical journey and debate podcast, 50 Years of Music w/ 50 Year Old White Guys.

The same guys who brought you through each year they’ve been alive in order to find their favorite songs, and then frog-marched you back through those same years to find their favorite albums, have started the car on their new season: a Musical Road Trip planned just for you.

With over 99,000 listens in their first two seasons, these fellas are just getting warmed up. And now they’ll take you to a city, state, or country and dig into its musical history, finding the songs, people, and moments that define the place. Along the way they’ll invite along an Artist-In-Residence, a rocker or fan who knows the ins and outs of the musical scene for each podcast.

Actual Reviews (Not Their Loved Ones!!)

*****“Jeff, Tim, and Ben have such a fun vibe. I love the digs at the Grammys and the back and forth banter about music.”

*****“They say a good point of view is worth 50 IQ points, and this podcast pretty much proves the point. Brilliant, hilarious, and informative.”

*****“Fun to remember the songs, but the best part is the relationship these three have. They are all funny and their angles to the music are all different.”

*****“Love it! Just listened to 1993 and now have to start at the beginning and binge.”

Nightmare Code on Kettle Whistle Radio Podcast

One of the pleasures of co-founding a podcast company is getting interviewed on one of our podcasts.  We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Society 13 to ElectraCast, which is now our pop culture network, founded and led by David Fairhead and Martisse Macri.

David had me on his flagship talk show, Kettle Whistle Radio, to talk about NIGHTMARE CODE, the award-winning 2014 film that I directed and co-wrote with M.J. Rotondi.  It’s the first feature film told entirely from the POV of an artificial intelligence, all about a struggling startup where their computer code has taken on a malevolent life of its own.

Both David and his co-host Shaun Feldbusch asked great questions about the movie, digging deep into the sci-fi and horror elements as well as what the movie is meant to say about how we have given over our decision-making power to our machines.

Please take a listen and I hope you enjoy:
