One of the pleasures of co-founding a podcast company is getting interviewed on one of our podcasts. We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Society 13 to ElectraCast, which is now our pop culture network, founded and led by David Fairhead and Martisse Macri.
David had me on his flagship talk show, Kettle Whistle Radio, to talk about NIGHTMARE CODE, the award-winning 2014 film that I directed and co-wrote with M.J. Rotondi. It’s the first feature film told entirely from the POV of an artificial intelligence, all about a struggling startup where their computer code has taken on a malevolent life of its own.
Both David and his co-host Shaun Feldbusch asked great questions about the movie, digging deep into the sci-fi and horror elements as well as what the movie is meant to say about how we have given over our decision-making power to our machines.
Please take a listen and I hope you enjoy:
