Athan Jonacas
Host/ProducerAthan Jonacas has been a movie fan since childhood. He would record motion pictures such as midnight movies by videotaping these, as it was done in that time, and become immersed in a narrative world like no other. Athan’s love of film was encouraged by his parents, who enjoyed Classic Hollywood cinema, but also, all eras of cinema. Even though Athan admires every decade of filmmaking, he has a particular love for 1970s cinema, with its bold strokes, groundbreaking style, and innovative content. Athan has attained the degrees of a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities with Honours, and a Master of Arts in Film and Television Studies with Honours, from a Brisbane university.
